(This message was added in version 6.7.0.) in /home/sundre5/ducts.sundresspublications.com/content/wp-includes/functions.php on line 6114I personally have chosen to pursue re-marriage ( divorced 2 years now after 18 years married ). In those 18 years, there were some rough spots. But I would NOT trade it for 18 years of being un-married. It forced me to become responsible, accountable, and always seek to improve myself. Fell down a bunch of times, but the drive never went away.
Personal opinion – but I believe Un-married people need one key ingredient: encouragement
In a marriage, usually 1 partner is “up” if another is “down” and can offer that encouragement. If un-married, there is no one to provide, so you “stay down” until you regain composure and get back “up”. And forget this “you must be content with yourself” BS … granted, you can’t be a down & out irresponsible whiner, but agreed if you want to be in a relationship, achieving that will tend to make you happier.
Again, great article & it was encouraging to me to read that another person out there had same ideas I had – “great minds thinking alike”.
My bestt wishes for all un-married people desiring marriage to find a strong & secure one.
