The Performances tech note: each piece of music is offered in RealAudio and MP3 formats. RealAudio plays right away, but is lower quality than MP3. You probably already have the RealPlayer to play RealAudio files, but if you don't, it's free and can be downloaded quickly and easily from the RealAudio website.

This
amazing documentary
by Susan Froemke, Bob Eisenhardt, and Albert Maysles followed the design
and construction of the Getty Center for the Arts and Humanities in Los
Angeles through it's entire fifteen year saga.
The
three main characters, the head of the Getty organization, the director
of the museum, and the architect, Richard Meier, are surprisingly candid
and the conflict of their personalities is the heart of the story. Joel's
music evokes the ethereal aesthetic of Meier's architecture while underscoring
the tension which builds throughout the film, leading to the eventual
triumph of the building's completion.

This
film by
Danny Elias & David Houts
is
a gripping real life drama following the exploits of the New York
City Police Department Hostage Negotiation Team, where specially
trained detectives save lives with words, not guns. The film culminates
in a twelve-hour siege where a man is holding his nephew hostage at
gunpoint, and the child's life hangs on the words of the negotiators.

II when nearly 10,000 children were sent, without their parents, to England
from Nazi Germany, Austria and Czechoslovakia. The filmmaker's mother, Ruth
