"TwisT"

Directed by Federico Hatoum
Written by Julie Fiedler

Imagine, if you will... it is two years in the future. Wade Barnett is an average guy who leads a fairly typical life. Yet Wade is unaware of the dangers that lurk at every turn.

"TwisT", a collaboration between Robotski and Force Fed Films, was conceived as an entry for the Spoiler Film Festival in New York City. One of the more unique festivals, Spoiler gives participants a theme and two months to produce a comedic short less than five minutes long. At the end of the two months, Spoiler screens all 15 entries at a New York City hotspot.

Robotski is an improv group that performs long-form improv such as the Montage and the Harold in New York City. Its founding members met through the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. After forming a practice group almost two years ago, Robotski has continued to evolve. You can learn more about the members, upcoming shows, and its fearless leader Fozor at www.robotski.com.

One of the group's members, Federico Hatoum, has made numerous films under his production banner, Force Fed Films. When Robotski decided to branch out from improv and make a short film, Fed led the production charge all the way to the Spoiler Film Festival.

"TwisT" was written, directed, and produced entirely by Robotski members and features several members on screen. "TwisT" was filmed over two weekends in September and premiered at Spoiler on October 19, 2004.
