I love the odd compressed feeling of the landscape here, the ridges that surround Mount Tamalpais looming in the distance, the ocean thundering just across the road, and the off-balance feeling I get every time I come to this cove at the edge of the world. It’s like riding an unsteady boat at sea. The light, when it broke through the fog earlier this afternoon, was clear and bright and invincible.
