Lisa L. Kirchner launches 2 new plays this season
October 29-30, 2016: In a World Where . . . Donald Trump Is President
A short play written by Lisa, Ducts memoirs editor, and directed by Charles Sanchez, will premier in NYC at the Midtown International Festival. The piece takes place in an internment camp along the TexMex border, where the so-called Volunteers have just learned the promise of citizenship has been denied.
November 6, 2016: Utopia
Lisa’s full-length adaptation of Mary McCarthy’s book, The Oasis, will begin pre-production with a staged reading at the StageWorks Theater, Tampa’s longest running professional theatre company.
