Marcia is a published essayist on\u00a0Ducts,\u00a0<\/em>and her memoir, The Skin Above My Knee<\/a>, is now available for pre-order on Amazon (Feb. 21, 2017). In this book, Marcia, a gifted oboist, takes us deep into 1970s New York City and the challenges faced by a woman entering the world of professional music. Lisa L. Kirchner launches 2 new plays this season<\/h3>\n

October 29-30, 2016: In a World Where . . . Donald Trump Is President<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

A short play written by Lisa, Ducts<\/em> memoirs editor, and directed by Charles Sanchez, will premier in NYC at the Midtown International Festival<\/a>. The piece takes place in an internment camp along the TexMex border, where the so-called Volunteers have just learned the promise of citizenship has been denied.<\/p>\n

November 6, 2016: Utopia<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Lisa’s full-length adaptation of Mary McCarthy’s book, The Oasis<\/em>, will begin pre-production with a staged reading at the\u00a0StageWorks Theater<\/a>, Tampa’s longest running professional theatre company.\u00a0<\/p>\n
