Jacqueline, former Ducts art gallery editor, is an award-winning photographer-painter-writer born and raised in Jamaica, who now lives and works in New York City (“Jamaica’s 15th Parish”).  Her book, The Gymnast and Other Positions, won the 2016 Bocas Prize for Caribbean Literature in the nonfiction category. She has twice been awarded Fulbright Fellowships, including a year-long grant to Morocco; her work exhibits widely in North America, Europe and North Africa.  She teaches Liberal Studies at New York University, and is the author of The River’s Song, a novel about growing up in Jamaica. Jamie hails from Southern New Jersey but for the last 27 years has lived in Central Jersey with her husband, two daughters and numerous cats. A plethora of life experiences influences her work. She chases light to create scenes for memories. In 2018 she was part of a group show at Gallery of Division in Somerville. This showcased several members of the Raritan Photographic Society. Her other exhibitions include Alfa Art Gallery in New Brunswick in 2016 & 2017, as well as Guild of Creative Art’s Eyesights 2017 & 2019 Juried Art Exhibit.

Janet lives with her husband on their Seattle houseboat, the floating nation of Tui Tui. Her writing has appeared in Raven Chronicles, Bayou, Porcupine, Passager, The MacGuffin, North Dakota Quarterly, The Evansville Review, The Massachusetts Review, Pilgrimage, River Teeth, and Chautauqua.
